People are starting to become aware that we live in a hyper-connected world. We are morally and ethically interdependent.

The way you live affects the lives of those around you. It shapes your future and the future of those around you. With knowledge of the universe and with your own capacity of strive, you can become a great force of positive change in the world. The single biggest factor in your life is your behavior and state of mind.

The ancient knowledge from India, Tibet, Egypt, and Greece is a terrific place to start – to discover the knowledge that can help you “be the change you want to see in the world.”

PHILOSOPHY DAY 2011

Think Like Socrates: Philosophical Solutions To Life’s Most Difficult Situations

Thursday, November 17, 2011, 7:30 p.m.

Socrates was one of the most unique individuals  who ever lived. Unlike many philosophers who devoted much time to writing, Socrates loved talking to people. His discussions with thousands of Athenians gave him tremendous insight into the human soul and refined his art of helping people discover their true nature.

The figure of Socrates is perhaps best known through Plato’s book Phaedo where he displays patience, and enormous courage in the moments before his own death.

What can Socrates teach us about facing life’s challenges, overcoming difficult struggles, and reaching our true potential?

In honor of
World Philosophy Day 2011, Dr. David Hirschorn of New Acropolis of Atlanta presents this free seminar.
